Why Straker’s, Notting Hill Is Worth A Visit

We’ve got a few favourite spots in London and Straker’s always makes the list. There’s a reason for that, it’s simple in the best way. Really good food done properly. No notes, just consistently good. Here’s the simple reasons it’s one of our favourites:

01 BUTTER

A lot of the dishes are cooked in butter and served with brown butter. Need we say more?

02 GOLBORNE ROAD

Located on the iconic Golborne road, which nowadays doesn’t get enough attention. Also home to Acre, Thomas Straker’s 2nd restaurant and a strong line up of interior shops.

03 COUNTER SEATING

We’re suckers for counter seating, bar or restaurant. Always a vibe.

04 NO FUSS

Casual, dressy, somewhere in between. It’s very much a come as you are (within reason) kind of place.

05 SEASONAL PRODUCE

The menu shifts with the seasons, built around whatever produce is at its best.

06 NYC BABY

Straker’s NYC coming soon !!!

07 THE CORNISH POTATOES

With brown butter - nothing compares.

08 THOMAS STRAKER

If you haven’t come across his TikTok yet, it’s worth a scroll. It’s the kind of food you actually want to eat, and realistically might try making at home. Which is why we also have his cook book. Big fans? Absolutely.

09 STRAKER’S CANDLE

The bar and toilets are decked out with their own green branded candles (actual jar candles, not tea lights or candlesticks!) adding a cosy yet undeniably sexy energy. We like the small touches!
